Heat from the outside air — coming once we can do it properly.
An air source heat pump heats your home and hot water using warmth pulled from the outside air. We're not offering it yet, and we won't pretend otherwise. We're bringing an installation partner on board and getting them certified under Eight Energy first. When that's genuinely in place, we'll say so here.

Heat pumps aren't something we install yet. An air source heat pump is a big, technical job, and we're not going to offer it until we can do it right. Our ASHP installation partner is being brought on and contracted and certified under Eight Energy — the same way we're bringing on every partner, one at a time. We'll only put this on the table once that's genuinely in place, not a moment before. If you want it, register your interest and we'll come to you when we can do it properly.
What an air source heat pump does
It moves heat from the air outside into your home
There's usable warmth in the outside air even on a cold day. An air source heat pump sits outside, draws in that air, and uses it to heat water that runs your radiators (or underfloor heating) and your hot water tank. It doesn't burn anything — it moves heat rather than making it, which is why it can deliver more heat energy than the electricity it uses.
It works differently from a gas boiler. A heat pump tends to run steadily at a lower temperature over longer periods, rather than blasting hot then off. For a lot of homes that suits how heating is actually used — but how well it fits depends on the property, so it's a job that has to be designed for your home, not fitted from a template.

What we won't do
No over-promising while it's still being set up
Heat pumps get sold with big headline claims. We're not going to quote you savings or payback figures for something we don't yet install. When it's live, any numbers you get from us will come from a proper survey and design for your home — the same way we size solar from your real data — not from a brochure.

A heat pump only works well when it's sized and designed for the property. That means a real survey, once we're up and running.
